About Us
Power Line Design (ABN: 33 107 591 846) is an accredited Level 3 Service Provider (No.2486) established in 2004. We are qualified to design new connections, expansions and relocations both overhead and underground up to and including 132 kV transmission lines anywhere in NSW. Our distinctive skills and expertise within the industry provides our customers with an exceptional value for money service.
We have developed a large client base with many repeat customers. Our clients include large private industry companies and developers, numerous local councils, individual home builders and large government departments both state and federal.
Power Line Design aims to complete designs in a timely and professional manner, adhering to Australian and Supply Authority standards whilst also addressing the needs and requirements of the customer.
Our Team
Power Line Design has an experienced team with a combined 100+ years experience in the electrical industry.
Our design team possess a wealth of experience and qualifications in both overhead and underground power line design works, as well as design audits and feasibility studies throughout all New South Wales network distribution areas. This expertise is supported through valuable previous hands-on experience gained in all aspects of power line construction.
Today we have a team of 14 comprising of Engineers, Designer Consultants, Project Coordinator’s and Admin support personnel.
Our team’s distinct knowledge and experience has seen us complete over four thousand projects since established in 2004 within all three Distribution Network Service Provider areas: Essential Energy, Endeavour Energy and Ausgrid.
Laurence McKinnon – Managing Director
Managing Director and Chief Designer; Laurence McKinnon has over 50 years’ experience in the industry. He has been at the helm of Power Line Design since establishment and built the company from a single person concern doing local designs to a thriving business covering the whole of NSW. Laurence has extensive experience in senior business management within the electrical industry.
Michael Baranowski – Senior Design Engineer
Michael has been a prominent addition to Power Line Design since joining the company in 2012 and has extensive industry experience particularly in the construction sector. Michael guides our team to create the most practical and constructible power design for our clients.
